A debut solo exhibition by Nicole Salcedo.
The artist will be exhibiting a series of drawings depicting the different manifestations of an imaginary figure dubbed as “chichalamanka”. Acting as entryways into another world, these intuitively created and mythologically inspired works imbue the space with an energy that is both welcoming and slightly haunting.
Kevin Paulsen’s artisitc silhouettes are fashioned as if they are relics of a lost world. Forged from nature and folly and influenced by the emotional poetry of Pablo Neruda, Paulsen’s blending of positivism and mysticism are created into pigment on plaster pieces. “Alternative” poetry will be on display September 10th through the 24th.
